Bruce Becker graduated in 1971 from Wall Lake High School. After graduation, he attended Iowa State University where he graduated in 1975 earning a Bachelor’s Degree in political science with a minor in industrial administration (business). He was commissioned in the United States Army as a Second Lieutenant upon graduating from Iowa State. Mr. Becker received his law degree from Drake University Law School in 1978. Mr. Becker also graduated from the U.S. Army Staff Advocate School at the University of Virginia in 1978.
Bruce Becker has been awarded an “AV Preeminent” rating from Martindate – Hubbell, the nation’s leading legal directory. The “AV Preeminent” rating is the highest rating that can be achieved by an attorney for both legal ability and ethical conduct. Mr. Becker has also been recognized in the national publication Who’s Who Among American Attorneys. Attorney Becker was awarded the meritorious service medal upon his honorable discharge as a captain in the United States Army.
Mr. Becker has been a member of the Iowa State Bar Association since 1978 and a member of the Sac County Bar Association since 1981. He served as president of the Sac County Bar Association from 1986 to 1988 and from 1998 to 2005. He presently serves on the Sac County Magistrate Commission.
